A lighter weight badger gate designed specifically for long term or repeated use badger access and exclusion purposes. The gate can be locked both ways, one way or left to swing freely in both directions.

This is a redesign of our standard Caudon Badger Gate. We had a rethink about the design of the badger gate and came up with a new design that we believe is just as robust as the standard badger gate but with less material wastage during the manufacturing process, enabling us to pass on a cost saving to the customer. The main frame and gate are laser cut out of a single piece of 4mm thick steel plate, reducing the number of welds and separate components required.

The legs are removable as these are not always required, especially when installing the gate in a badger proof ground covering. The redesign also makes it easier to install when using the legs, as the gate can be positioned where required and the legs tapped through the framework into the ground without moving the position of the gate. This is more suitable for very rocky ground where it is not always possible to knock the badger gate legs fully into the ground, leaving a traditional badger gate in the wrong position.

The frame of the gate incorporates many fixing holes to tie the gate into the surrounding badger proof netting. A 17mm spanner is required to operate the gate locking mechanism.

Our Badger Gates are of an all galvanised steel construction. Badgers are notoriously destructive creatures and have been known to destroy wooden badger gates.

Use in conjunction with:
  • Stainless Steel Cable Ties to provide an easy and secure method of attaching gate to badger netting using the pre-drilled holes in the gate frame.
